About Us
Sasha Posey attended Stephen F. Austin State University to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialization in Reading. She also attended Lamar University to earn her Master of Education Degree in Administration. Mrs. Posey has taught for 15 years, the last of those being for Sulphur Springs ISD. Moving here in the summer of 2014 with her husband and two daughters (ages 8 and 12), she has enjoyed settling into the community and being a part of a wonderful school district.
Bonnye Nance attended the Texas Woman's University where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees. She taught for 6 years in Lewisville ISD, just north of Dallas. She joined the 7th grade ELA team at SSMS in 2015. Bonnye is married with two children, ages 16 and 19 and lives in Winnsboro.
Amy Anderson joined the staff at SSMS in 2015 after teaching in Roundrock ISD for 10 years. She has been in education for 20 years total, at the middle school level. She attended East Texas State University, earning her bachelor's in English and Interdisciplinary Studies. She continued her graduate work at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. She enjoys the peace and quiet of the country life and is now an empty nester.
Diane Shipley has been in education for eleven years. She is in her second year teaching ELAR 7th grade at SSMS. She did her undergraduate work at Angela State University and TAMUC, earning a degree in psychology and English. She continued her graduate studies in education at TAMUC- Mesquite.
Paige Cooksey was born and raised in Como, Texas. She attended Midwestern State University and majored in Special Education. She previously taught in Yantis ISD with all grade levels as a special education teacher. She enjoys writing and traveling.
